The second bike I owned was a 1979 (V reg) RED Kawasaki z500.

Again bought this off someone I new. This was the bike that got me really going with bikes.

It was quick, handled so well and I had a great time with it. I have always wanted another one, hence one of the current restoration projects.

I had my first real accident on on the z500 on my very first biking holiday with a bunch of lads somewhere in Wales.

This holiday was a real eye opener for me as it was four days in the same clothes, camping, washing in the river (if we camped near one) and so much real ale it was untrue!

This is the only photo I have of the z500 and it was taken at GKN in Smethwick with one of the lads I was working with Trevor sat astride my pride and joy!
